Who are the Supremes? A Discussion of the Lives of Supreme Court Justices

Presented by Monica Lineberger, Assistant Professor, Political Science

The Supreme Court has worked to perpetuate the mysterious nature of judicial decision making and the work of its justices. Informal rules dictate that the justices rarely speak to the press about their work or political preferences. Yet Supreme Court justices are people with hobbies, interests, and fascinating histories. This lecture explores the lives of some of the most influential justices throughout time.

This lecture is part of the Spring 2022 Fairhaven Lecture Series “American Profiles.”  Lectures in the series will be held on Mondays at 3 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Fairhaven Senior Services, 435 West Starin Road, Whitewater and are tentatively scheduled to be open to the public. No registration required.  Lectures may be live streamed on our Facebook page. They will be recorded and posted to our website and YouTube channel.  Videos of lectures in this series and in past series can be accessed for free any time after they are posted online.
