Hessen-WI Exchange Campus Conversation
The Center for Global Education and Dr. Margot Schneider-Maerz, director of the Hessen-Wisconsin Exchange Program, invite you to join them for a “Campus Conversation” to discuss the opportunities available to students and faculty through this program. We will meet from 10:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in Hyland Hall, room 1001, which is located next to the Center for Global Education.
Wisconsin and the German State of Hessen have a sister state relationship, which includes an exchange agreement between the UW System and nineteen institutions of higher education in Hessen. UW students have the opportunity to participate in semester, year, and short-term exchange opportunities at Hessen institutions. Students proficient in German can study at any of the nineteen Hessen institutions, and a number of universities also offer coursework in English. The International Summer Universities (ISUs), International Winter Universities (IWUs), and the semester-long International Undergraduate Study Program (IUSP) offer study opportunities for students with little or no proficiency in German.
